Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice.  The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her assigned patients. They communicate with the physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including hemodynamic monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and abnormal results and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.  Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.

New Graudate RN:8 - 16 weeks of new graduate orientation with an appointed preceptor (dependent on unit)Requirements:Candidates must be completing their final semester of an accredited ADN/BSN/MSN program within six months, or have graduated within the last  six  months of the start of the program.Candidate’s  must have a valid Illinois RN license verified by the IDFPR websiteMust possess a BLS CPR card through American Heart AssociationWork Shift Details:New Graduate RNs are hired into full-time 12-hr shifts 5a-5p / 5p - 5a

 

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

 

1.      Current and valid state RN License.

2.      Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.

3.      Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.

4.      Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.

5.      Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.

6.      Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $35.35 to $53.58. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
