Job Title: Procurement Specialist


Job Description

We are seeking a diligent Procurement Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing project materials, estimating freight costs, and collaborating with suppliers and project teams to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials. This role requires strong analytical skills, effective communication, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities

  • Supply organization with project material and freight cost estimates.
  • Monitor and fulfill purchase requests in a timely manner.
  • Analyze offers for best delivery outcomes and cost savings opportunities.
  • Actively work with suppliers and project team to resolve issues.
  • Review and maintain reporting on delivery commitments.
  • Follow up directly with suppliers and project team on outstanding items for resolution.
  • Report supplier performance and delivery to the appropriate team.
  • Utilize purchasing system to facilitate change orders.
  • Coordinate returns and warranty exchanges with suppliers and project team.
  • Provide Accounts Payable with information to resolve invoicing discrepancies.
  • Deliver complete and accurate communication on order finalization and delivery concerns.
  • Charge time towards appropriate project budget.
  • Project-related travel up to 10% may be required.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in procurement, buyer purchasing, or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or a similar field preferred.
  • 0-2 years of experience in a Buyer or Purchasing Agent role.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite and purchasing software.
  • Experience negotiating prices, terms, and conditions.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Work Environment

This position is based in a corporate office with regular business hours from Monday to Friday. The dress code is business casual. You will be part of a world-class electrical equipment manufacturing team, providing industrial control integration solutions for various applications. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.04 - $24.04/hr.
