Associate Dean of Nursing

Your Role

As the Associate Dean of Nursing, you will report to the Dean of Nursing and oversee the academic, administrative, and student support functions of the practical nursing program. You will lead faculty development, accreditation efforts, and student behavioral management to uphold a supportive and high-quality learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program Implementation & Curriculum Integrity – Ensure the consistent delivery of the Practical Nursing Program in alignment with ATS curriculum standards, policies, and educational best practices to maintain a high-quality learning experience.
  • Student Success & Behavioral Guidance – Address student concerns, enforce professional conduct policies, and foster a respectful and disciplined academic environment. Promote a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel valued, engaged, and empowered to succeed. Promote student belonging, collaboration, and professional identity development within the nursing field.
  • Accreditation & Compliance – Ensure full adherence to state nursing board regulations and accreditation standards, maintaining the highest quality of nursing education.
  • Strategic Partnerships & Institutional Growth – Work with leadership to establish long-term goals, strengthen community and healthcare partnerships, and drive program success.

What You Need:

  • MSN degree with concentration in Nursing, preferably in nursing administration or education is required; a Doctorate in Nursing is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of related work experience, with 3 years as a nursing faculty or program administrator.
  • Educational experience in teaching, learning principles, curriculum development, accreditation, and administration.
  • Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse License in Illinois.
  • A passion for education and the ability to connect with a diverse group of students.
