To act as a Patient Advocate to ensure patient’s complaints and grievances are heard and responded to in keeping with The Joint Commission and Hospital Standards of psychiatric patient care. Use of interviews and medical record review to resolve patient and or family concerns in a compassionate and timely fashion and document investigations and findings in a professional letter to patients and/or family members and facility logs. To retrieve, abstract, and analyze data for compliance and process improvement purposes. Support Risk Management investigations and reporting processes.
