Floyd Valley Healthcare in Le Mars, IA has opened a retail pharmacy and we’re currently hiring for a part-time Certified Pharmacy Technician in our Retail Pharmacy. This position will be primarily days with evenings and weekends involvement.

Certified Pharmacy Technician Responsibilities:

  • The Pharmacy Technician is responsible to assist in drug preparation, drug distribution, drug inventory, and required record keeping under the supervision of a Pharmacist.
  • 20 hours a week with 5 hour shifts, days, evenings, and weekends.
  • Rotating shifts between 8 am-7 pm during weekdays and every 3rd weekend (Saturday 8 am-12 pm and Sunday 1 pm-5 pm)

Certified Pharmacy Technician Requirements:

  • High School graduate. Background in health care is desirable. Willingness to complete Pharmacy Technician Training and Certification is desirable.
  • BLS a plus; certification is required as an employee.
  • Mandatory Reporter training certificate a plus; certification is required as an employee.

Today Floyd Valley includes the hospital, clinics in Le Mars, Marcus and Remsen, and public health. We serve people in their homes through home health and home medical services. Floyd Valley Healthcare is licensed by the State of Iowa, affiliated with the Avera System of Sioux Falls, South Dakota and is a member of the Iowa and American Hospital Associations.
