DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure an uninterrupted flow of materials to the manufacturing areas by dispatching in a timely manner the components at each production line and/or process.
Verify material availability for the dispatch at Production Areas as per Production Plan.
Support the replenishment of area’s materials (includes MRO Items).
Determine material flow issues, communicate and improve.
Ensure proper SAP utilization and complete all SAP movement transactions in a timely manner to avoid inventory and location discrepancies.
Delivers and localize the Finished Products to the designated Area to be picked up by Logistics Personnel.
Delivers Fill and Pack samples to QC.
Maintains work area clean and organized.
Complies with the companies Quality and Safety Policies and Procedures.
Support Manufacturing areas to perform physical inventory, goods movements, cycle counts, and inventory adjustment as needed.
Actively participate in the Daily Shift Start up meeting (SSU).
Provide Recommendations to support systems that continuously improve product/process quality and product availability, reduce cost, and increase production capability.
Follows all department guidelines and procedures.
Keeps abreast of the basic requirements for compliance in own area of work and complies with those requirements. Participates as required in training on regulatory issues affecting own area of work. Brings regulatory compliance questions/issues to the attention of management.
Promotes a safe work environment. May provide recommendations on maintaining the safety of the work environment. Participates in Environmental Health and Safety programs. Addresses corrective actions whenever a hazard is identified. Notifies supervisor of all observed hazardous conditions or unsafe work practices.
Will act as a back up for other areas as needed.
Performs other related duties and assignments as required within the manufacturing areas.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Effective Interpersonal skills.
Trained to operate hand lift trucks and/or equivalent equipment's preferable.
Good communication skills as well as good math skills.
Knowledge on computer systems.
Knowledge on SAP application system preferable.
Knowledge of GMP, QSR or ISO requirements preferred.
Able to speak, read and write in Spanish and to read and write in English.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
As a minimum High School Diploma and one-year experience working in a Medical Devices or Pharmaceutical Environment in a related position.
MENTAL DEMAND
Apply principles of rational systems to solve problems and deal with a variety of variables. Manage stressful situations.
PHYSICAL DEMAND
Occasional medium physical effort required in moving materials. In addition, constantly requires pushing and pulling of medium weight level objects; as well as standing, walking, handling, talking, hearing and seeing (near vision, depth perception and visual color discrimination). Also requires communication, coordination, hand-eye coordination skills.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
The work is constantly performed inside the building. The work requires exposure to wet and/or humid conditions and extreme cold temperatures. Also, the work environment has hazards (mechanical equipment, explosives, chemicals and electrical hazards) and atmospheric conditions such as dust.
