Beam Benefits is transforming its product development approach to be insurance-driven, AI-enhanced, and revenue-focused. We’re looking for a Technical Product Owner to play a critical role in bridging Insurance Product Management, Engineering, and Operations.

Your focus will be on delivering scalable, data-driven solutions that enhance broker acquisition and optimize underwriting processes. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Product Manager with strong technical acumen who wants to dive deeper into AI-driven automation, system integrations, and insurance business processes.

What You Will Do:
  • Lead the development of AI-driven automations and productization opportunities with underwriting, and broker acquisition tools by collaborating closely with Engineering, Data Analytics, and Insurance PM teams
  • Own and refine the technical product roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives such as loss ratios, revenue efficiency, and broker engagement
  • Define and prioritize user stories, technical requirements, and specifications, collaborating with Insurance Product Managers and Product Owners
  • Work with Engineering feature delivery and platform teams to ensure scalable architectures, API integrations, and system reliability
  • Partner with Revenue Tech Engineering to automate and streamline the broker experience
  • Serve as the main liaison between Insurance Product, Engineering, and Operations (Revenue and Internal), translating business priorities into actionable development work
  • Collaborate with Data Analytics teams to integrate data models from underwriting and quoting workflows to reporting needs
  • Work with Insurance teams to ensure new product features align with actuarial models and underwriting rules
  • Participate in quarterly planning cycles with cross-functional teams to align on objectives and measure impact
  • Define requirements for AI-driven underwriting and quoting models to improve efficiency and reduce time-to-bind for brokers
  • Collaborate with Engineering on automation initiatives to eliminate manual processes in policy issuance, claims, and broker interactions
  • Monitor and optimize conversion rates using AI-led insights
  • Track and analyze key product metrics such as quote-to-bind conversion, underwriting efficiency, and broker engagement
  • Gather feedback from brokers, internal sales teams, and insurance stakeholders to refine and enhance product capabilities
  • Drive continuous improvements in system performance and user experience based on data-driven insights


What Skills Will Help You Be Successful:
  • 4+ years of experience in product management or technical product management
  • Strong understanding of enterprise SaaS, APIs, and system integrations
  • Experience working closely with engineering teams, understanding technical constraints and trade-offs
  • Familiarity with Gen AI/ML applications in automation or predictive analytics
  • Ability to translate business objectives into clear, actionable technical requirements
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies, backlog management, and sprint planning
  • Strong data-driven decision-making skills, with experience using product analytics tools
  • Excellent stakeholder communication skills, particularly with cross-functional teams


Nice-to-Have Skills:
  • Experience in insurance, insurtech, or fintech (knowledge of loss ratios, underwriting, broker operations is a plus)
  • Familiarity with AI-driven automation tools, underwriting models, or policy management systems
  • Hands-on experience with SQL, API testing, or technical documentation
  • Previous work with AI-enabled product solutions (e.g., automated underwriting, chatbot-driven sales processes)


$115,200 - $184,198 a year

Compensation and Benefits:

Beam offers a competitive base salary paired with an attractive variable compensation structure.

Employees benefit from performance-based bonuses and incentives, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance. Additionally, Beam provides a 401(k) plan with company matching, flexible time off, and the opportunity to participate in the equity program.


The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and budget for the open position and also may vary depending on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other relevant factors. This range does not include an estimated value for any benefits, bonus, or other incentives that may be applicable based on position.
