Emergency Department Technician I opportunity in beautiful Hamilton, Montana!! Bitterroot Health is seeking candidates to fill a Technician I position in our Emergency Department (ED).  The ED Tech Assist ED staff with patient monitoring and everyday workflow of the department. Communicate clearly with providers and families regarding plan of care for patients in the Emergency Department (ED), i.e., answering phones, contacting providers, coordinating department paperwork and working within the electronic medical record. The ED Tech assists with observation of heart beats, blood pressures, respirations and continuous pulse oximetry of patients in the ED. They are able to recognize basic cardiac rhythms including life threatening rhythms. Minimum Qualifications:   Education:  High school graduate and or equivalent required.  Licensure and Certifications:  C.N.A., EMT, or ED Tech II certification required. AHA BLS certification (within 6 months of hire). Successful completion of a Telemetry Course (within 3 months of hire), renewed annually Job Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:  Ability to read and communicate effectively in English, and basic computer skills required.  Proficient in receptionist duties, to include communication with providers, faxing, and electronic medical records.  Proficient in customer service.  Knowledge of medical terminology preferred. Schedule:  Part-time, 12 hours/week
