The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking an Associate Fighters Mission Computing Hardware Engineer – Fighters Mission Systems Avionics located in Berkeley, MO.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Works with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements.
  • Analyzes and translates requirements into system, hardware and software designs and interface specifications.
  • Designs hardware, software and interface specifications.
  • Tests and validates to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.
  • Assists in monitoring supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.
  • Solves problems concerning fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.
  • Researches specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment.

  • An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • 2+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelor’s Degree OR work related experience with a Master’s degree

  • Experience developing or integrating avionics or mission systems,
  • Experience in requirements verification and validation
  • Experience developing/maintaining team schedules, resource management, earned value management, risk management, and project management

Typical Education/ Experience:

Level 2: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range:

Level 2: $79,900 - $108,100
