The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Company is seeking a highly motivated experienced System Engineer to join the MH-139 Grey Wolf Engineering team in Ridley Park, PA. The successful candidate will lead engineering projects that interface with a complex network of internal and external stakeholders including customers, suppliers, program managers, supply chain managers, contracts representatives, etc. to drive successful execution of engineering work scope that ensures continued aircraft deliveries, timely capability insertions, and overall customer satisfaction with the MH-139 helicopter .
The ideal candidate will have a background in systems engineering; experience in leading engineering projects for a US Department of Defense customer; knowledge of the product lifecycle, and strong communication and organizational skills. Experience working in an aircraft production, operations, maintenance and/or field service environment is also desired.
Position Responsibilities
Leads the development, planning, and execution of Engineering Change Proposals
Briefs customers on engineering change execution status
Engages with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to develop statements of work
Supports the customer in identifying technical solutions, developing requirements, conducting trade studies, etc
Investigates product deficiency reports and develops technical responses
Supports the planning and execution of requirements verification activities
Identifies and manages risks, issues, and opportunities
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology) chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
5 or more years of experience in engineering
3 or more years of related work experience in supporting, leading, and delegating responsibilities and tasks through all stages of a project life cycle
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills & Experience):
Proven experience in customer-facing roles, demonstrating exceptional communications skills, relationship-building abilities and the capacity to understand and address the customer needs effectively
Good communication, project management and organizational skills
Experience working with the United States Air Force or other US DoD customers
Experience working in aircraft production, operations, or maintenance
Typical Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
