Job Purpose

BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as a Validation Intern. 

Student would be working in one or both Environmental Validation groups here at the Kokomo Tech Center.  That includes the group that validates ECUs for internal combustion engine vehicles and the group that validates components for hybrid and electric vehicles. 

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in Technical support and troubleshooting hardware, software and networking issues.
• Assist with Data backup and recovery procedures.
• Assist in building PC’s; install and configure software and operating systems.
• Assist Validation Operations Engineer with tasks ( application administration,  tracking IT assets, documentation of workflows , cybersecurity measures etc.)
• Update Validation engineering website ( HTML programming  and sharepoint)
• Assist in maintaining and monitoring WSUS server.
• Write occasional batch scripts as needed to automate tasks.
• Knowledge of Excel. Power BI and SharePoint very helpful, but not required.

What We’re Looking For

• Undergraduate student pursuing a major in an Engineering or Mechanical discipline is required.
• 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 GPA scale
• Experience working with hand tools or power tools is required.
• Experience with test equipment (power supplies, DMMS, etc.) is a plus.
• Experience reading technical documents (electrical schematics or mechanical drawings) is a plus.

He/she must take every precaution reasonable in the given circumstance for the protection of themselves and coworkers. In addition, he/she is responsible for reporting all injuries and/or possible dangerous situations, incidents, or occurrences to the immediate supervisor.
