Responsibilities

The Charge Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the quality of nursing activities and staff function during their shift.  Provides direct communication with the Nurse Director. Effectively utilizes nursing personnel, time and equipment on the unit and assists the department Director in the daily operation of the unit. Perform direct patient care, within scope of practice. Continually assess care and direct staff to make immediate changes in the plan of care.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

 

1.    Current and valid CA RN License

2.    Minimum of one year as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital setting; Telemetry setting preferred.

3.    BCLS, ACLS, on hire and maintain current.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $43.27 to $61.82. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
