CGI Group, Inc. is seeking a skilled AWS Cloud Developer to join our team. This exciting opportunity allows you to work in a fast-paced environment supporting one of our largest customers. Our team takes an innovative approach to supporting clients, working side-by-side in an agile environment using emerging technologies.
The ideal candidate will have experience with full life cycle application/system development, distributed application environments (database, transaction management), and large-scale enterprise applications following an Agile execution model.
We are looking for a professional with expertise in Python development, particularly in AWS services such as Lambda, S3, Step Functions, Glue, EC2, ECS, CloudFormation, RDS, CloudWatch, Redshift, and REST API.
In addition to technical skills, excellent communication and written skills are required.
This position is located in Arlington, VA.
Application Development: Design, develop, and deploy cloud-based applications using AWS services. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code. Implement serverless architectures using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and other serverless services. Convert and modernize legacy applications into the AWS environment.
Integration of AWS Services: Integrate various AWS services such as S3, DynamoDB, RDS, SNS, SQS, and others into applications. Utilize AWS SDKs and APIs for seamless integration.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Use tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CDK to define and manage infrastructure. Automate the provisioning and management of AWS resources.
Security and Compliance: Implement security best practices for AWS applications. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Manage IAM roles and policies for secure access control.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or related experience.
Experience: Proven experience in designing, developing, and deploying cloud-based applications on AWS. Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, and DynamoDB. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CDK.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines using tools like AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and CodeDeploy. Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Technical Skills: Strong understanding of cloud security principles and best practices. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or .Net, C#.
Knowledge of networking concepts and VPC design. Experience with monitoring and logging tools like AWS CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and ELK stack.
Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $78,400.00 - $169,700.00.
