Overview

Perform both clinical and administrative duties related to obtaining and documenting heart rhythm testing. Ensure that patients receive accurate rhythm testing through EKGs, holter monitors, and event monitors that will be reviewed by a pediatric cardiologist.

Responsibilities

  • Perform 12 lead EKGs in inpatient and outpatient settings in age newborns to adults.
  • Place monitors in inpatient and outpatient setting. Provide care with consideration of patient?s age, diagnosis, psycho-social characteristics and family stressors that affect ability to understand or retain instructions.
  • Maintain efficient operations of the EKG Lab
  • Demonstrate commitment to teamwork and learning
  • Provides supportive patient care

Qualifications

  • HS diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years experience Experience as a Care Assistant or other job where EKGs may be performed is preferred
  • BLS Certification Required Upon Hire

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $17.67/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

 

 

Remote Work/Work from Home

This position is not eligible to work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children’s Mercy locations and may not work from home.
