General Purpose Utility (GPU) Operator

General Purpose Utility- Starting at $20.00 an hour + shift premium $1.00 for night shifts

Assists in performing any task of a production or maintenance nature under the guidance of the regularly assigned worker.  Observes methods of accomplishing work and learns operation of all equipment while assisting in various tasks.

Performs various labor tasks as assigned in all areas of plant and grounds. Will be called upon to perform any regularly assigned operation under close supervision as a temporary relief man in training. 

Will assist in makeup and delivery of process supplies and train to perform regular duties of forklift driver as required.  Will service, attend and/or operate various auxiliary production equipment such as automatic brushing die cast machine, dinking or material regrind equipment when required.

Will perform various other assigned work and clerical tasks connected with operation of the plant.

Qualifications

Must be able to work Day shift or Night shift (6:45am - 7:15pm OR 6:45pm - 7:15am)

Prior sit down forklift experience is preferred but not required

You must be willing and able to work any shift - position usually starts on night shift, 12 hour continuous operations.

You must be willing to work Saturday and Sunday

Overtime is mandatory and is a condition of employment
