Job Summary

We are seeking a highly expert Sr. Architect with 14 to 18 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have deep technical skills in Java Database and SQL Unix Shell Scripting Data Management Functional MDM Architecture and IBM MDM Sophisticated Edition. This hybrid role requires excellent English language skills for reading and writing.

Responsibilities

• Own the design and implementation of sophisticated MDM solutions using IBM MDM Advanced Edition.
• Supervise the development and maintenance of Java-based applications to support data management initiatives.
• Guide in database design SQL query optimization and data modeling to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Develop and maintain Unix Shell Scripts to automate data processing tasks and system operations.
• Collaborate with multi-functional teams to define data management strategies and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Implement standard processes for data governance data quality and data security to maintain the integrity of enterprise data.
• Conduct regular performance tuning and optimization of MDM systems to ensure high availability and scalability.
• Mentor and guide junior team members in technical aspects and standard methodologies of MDM architecture and data management.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to improve the MDM infrastructure and capabilities.
• Provide technical leadership in the integration of MDM solutions with other enterprise systems and applications.
• Develop comprehensive documentation for MDM solutions including architecture diagrams data flow diagrams and technical specifications.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements in all data management activities.
• Support the continuous improvement of data management processes and methodologies to drive operational perfection.

Qualifications

• Must have extensive experience in Java programming and application development.
• Must possess solid skills in database design SQL and data modeling.
• Must be proficient in Unix Shell Scripting for automation and system operations.
• Must have in-depth knowledge of MDM Architecture and IBM MDM Sophisticated Edition.
• Must have experience in data management functions including data governance and data quality.
• Nice to have experience in integrating MDM solutions with other enterprise systems.
• Nice to have experience in mentoring and guiding junior team members.
• Must have excellent English language skills for reading and writing.
• Must be able to work effectively in a hybrid work model.
• Must be able to operate during the day shift with no travel required.
• Must have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

Certifications Required

IBM Certified Solution Architect - Master Data Management Oracle Certified Professional Java SE Programmer

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
