Overview:As the Pharmacy Technician II in Certified Patient Advocacy, the appointed person is required to provide moderate supervision while aiding patients in gaining access to necessary medication. The duties include completing benefits investigations, assisting with the enrolment into manufacturer assistance programs.Responsibilities:Analyzes and investigates specified clinic or medication benefits.Secures necessary certifications and authorizations from insurance providers.Coordinating with assistance programs offered by manufacturers for patients lacking proper coverage.Acts as an intermediary among the patient, clinic, or infusion center and the pharmacy or drug manufacturer, and third party payor.Engages in joint efforts with clinical pharmacists to improve patient care.Executes tasks as allocated by superiors.Qualifications:EDUCATION:Required:• High School Diploma or equivalentEXPERIENCE:Required: 2 yearsLICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIREDPharmacy Technician certification through PTCB or NHA prior to hire.
