Job Description

The Sustainable Technologies & Utilities department within our Manufacturing Technology Engineering Tires Organization at Hanover-Stöcken is i.e. responsible for the optimization and continuous development of various energy, waste, and water usage in our tire plants worldwide.

Within our department, we are offering an internship starting immediately with an option of an extension to write a final thesis. For the best possible learning experience, the internship should have a duration of 6 months.

Tasks include:

  • Internal benchmarking for different wastewater discharges from production processes for our plants
  • Wastewater data analysis and modelling for effective treatment of water from different plant processes
  • Further development of visualization templates and creation of visualization requirements for the energy management tool used in our manufacturing facilities
  • Enhance and maintain KPI tracking of energy efficiency, water management and decarbonization in 20+ manufacturing facilities in PowerBI.

Qualifications

  • Students (m/f/diverse) in the fields of Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Production-/ Automation Technology or similar study programs
  • Ideally with a focus/ specialization in Wastewater Management, Energy Management, Computer/Data Science
  • Other fields of study: Environmental Engineering
  • Knowledge in Wastewater analysis and Wastewater treatment systems
  • Experiences with Microsoft Power BI for data visualization
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Very good English language skills (written and spoken)
  • German language skills are a advantage
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
