Tinter Day Shift

Job Description

Overview: The Tinter is responsible for applying the correct colors into the molds using tools such as brushes and paint sprayers.  

Schedule: 7:00AM - 5:30AM, Monday through Friday

Responsibilities

  • Ability to memorize color formulas and color patterns 
  • Will need to assists more than one line if needed 
  • Ability to spray the paint on the molds  
  • Ability to brush molds accurately and consistently 
  • Be able to work at a fast pace.   
  • Able to stand the duration of your shift 
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist 
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment 
  • Ability to work in a non-temperature-controlled manufacturing environment 

Safety

  • Safe work performance is required from each associate at all times 
  • Perform all duties and responsibilities safely in accordance with applicable Health and Safety Manuals 
  • Required to wear or use personal protective equipment as applicable and to immediately report unsafe working conditions 
  • Comply with all legislative requirements as outlined by Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulations 
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required 

Working Conditions

  • The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate encounter while performing the essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodations 
  • While performing the duties of the job, the associate is regularly required to stand  
  • The associate is required to walk: reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; turning or twisting; pushing; and talk or hear 
  • While performing the duties of this job, the average plant temperature conditions range from 60° in the cooler months and up to 110° during the warmer months 
  • All workstations on the plant floor require the use of protective eyewear and hearing protection; some workstations require additional safety equipment to include but not limited to gloves, aprons and arm guards 

 

Qualifications

Education  

  • High Diploma or equivalent experience  
  • At least 18 years of age 

Experience 

  • Minimum of 6 months in a Manufacturing Environment 

Skills & Competencies 

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Manual dexterity and good hand eye coordination
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instruction 
  • Ability to lift and move 40 - 50lbs frequently 
  • Ability to remain in a fixed position for extended periods (8+ hours per shift) while operating painting equipment
