Runtime Engineering Intern

As a Runtime Engineering Intern at d-Matrix, you will engage in software development for Linux systems, work on embedded system projects, and tackle security challenges. You will be involved in low-level embedded development on the RISC-V platform, collaborating with a team of experienced engineers to solve complex problems and innovate new solutions.

To qualify for the Runtime Engineering Intern role at d-Matrix, you should be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. A solid understanding of software development with C/C++ in Linux systems, along with experience in Python and Bash scripting, is essential for this internship.

While a strong foundation in Linux software development is a must, preferred skills for the Runtime Engineering Intern at d-Matrix include experience with platforms like Raspberry Pi or RISC-V, familiarity with device drivers on Ubuntu or Zephyr, and understanding common embedded communication protocols such as TCP/IP and PCIe.

The Runtime Engineering Intern position at d-Matrix requires a hybrid work model, meaning you will work onsite at our Sydney office for three days a week, while having the flexibility to work remotely for the remaining days. This offers a perfect blend of collaboration and independent work.

In my academic projects and personal coding experiences, I've developed several applications using C/C++. I used these languages for systems programming in Linux, focusing on memory management and performance optimization, which directly relates to the tasks I would undertake as a Runtime Engineering Intern at d-Matrix.
