About the team

Tech recruiting at Databricks consists of a team of talent acquisition specialists who have invested their entire careers focused on helping their clients identify, attract, and hire the most qualified individuals for our clients.  Our team is geographically distributed, with a presence in the Bay area, Washington, and the remote US . Team is responsible for identifying, attracting, and recruiting Technical candidates who are transforming Databricks globally across all functions in this critical growth stage. Our clients are the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and their managers.  We are engaged in hiring for all Tech roles across Engineering, Product, Support, IT, and Security.

The Impact you’ll have:

As a Tech Recruiter you will partner with hiring managers, business leaders, and HR business partners to set and drive strategy, goals, process for their searches. You will also support all aspects of the search process, ranging from preparation for client meetings, including market research and drafting specifications; developing search strategies; identifying, researching, and contacting prospective candidates; creating status reports and candidate assessments; and leading weekly status calls on search progress. 

Additionally, as a Tech Recruiter you're responsible for:

  • Overseeing the research effort in partnership with our sourcers to map our markets and generate candidate names and target profiles for a high volume of searches
  • Creating robust search strategies that will attract the best and brightest candidates while ensuring our commitment to diversifying our global workforce;
  • Calibrating and fine-tuning candidate profiles with hiring managers;
  • Gaining the trust of prospective candidates and developing them into active candidates;
  • Upholding DB’s hiring bar through rigorous screening, assessment, and reference checks;
  • Continually contributing to the knowledge base of the group by providing education on industries and market conditions;
  • Proactively building out talent networks across diverse functions/industries and tapping knowledgeable industry sources to help develop a competitive advantage;
  • Leading client update meetings and leveraging data to advance search progress
    Conducting on-site interviews and participating in debrief/hiring conversations;
  • Creating and negotiating complex offers through a thorough understanding of compensation and benefits;

What we’re looking for:

  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in a highly professional business environment
  • 6+ years of Recruiting experience Recruiting for Technology profiles and preferably for Software Engineering at multiple levels
  • The Tech Recruiter will have a proven track record of being scrappy and able to fulfill the searches in a timely manner;
  • They will have highly developed conceptual skills - able to synthesize information quickly, understand various industries and functions, and be able to present material in an organized, concise, and clear manner;
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to effectively prioritize projects and deliverables;
  • Experience managing a demanding workload, balancing multiple tasks, and switching gears while maintaining priorities;
  • The ability/agility to work with a number of constituencies on simultaneous projects;
  • Personal and business maturity that leads to confident and rational business decisions;
  • Demonstrable initiative and resourcefulness;
  • Ability to develop well-planned strategies and achieve goals within tight timelines;
  • Experience using technology competently in a business setting

 

 

Pay Range Transparency

Databricks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles.  Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Databricks utilizes the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above.
