Description

We're seeking a Director to lead in conjunction with the senior management team of the IS department, actively participating in shaping the overall direction of the department and providing leadership in positioning the institution to be a leader among its peers.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversees all aspects of information services strategy and operations, including development, implementation, and maintenance.
  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals to perform a wide variety of tasks.
  • Leads and directs the work of others including resource supply management (capacity management, etc.).
  • Analyzes the needs of different departments and determines ways to meet business objectives by modifying existing or developing new information processing systems.
  • Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures including architectural and analysis concepts, production support concepts and project management concepts.
  • Defines budget needs and requirements for areas of responsibility, manages to budget set by EHC executive team.
  • Collects, organizes, and analyzes data and generates and provides accurate and complete reports for management and/or regulatory agencies.
  • Assigns responsibility and reviews completed reports.
  • Interprets applicable regulations and establishes filing and auditing procedures to ensure records and files are accurate and in compliance.
  • Establishes and monitors staff compliance to radiation safety techniques regarding the use and disposal of radioactive materials.
  • Assists in ensuring that staff are monitored for exposure to radiation and that related record-keeping is accurate and complete.
  • Assesses needs and develops and implements staff development and training programs as appropriate.
  • Prepares materials and shares knowledge and expertise; provides informal counseling on an ongoing basis.
  • May serve on, hold office in, or chair committees.
  • May assist in establishing and implementing policies or programs based on committee recommendations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelor's degree in an appropriate field and 10 years of relevant IT experience is required.
  • A master's degree is preferred.
  • Proven experience in providing leadership to information services teams including the use of various technologies to solve business problems, project planning and management techniques, budget planning and management, and the management of strategic customer and vendor relationships.
