ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a Mechanical Designer to support a mid-size manufacturing company in a direct role! This position is full-time and will be based out of Wilmington, NC.

Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical drafting and design responsibilities.

  • Create, edit and revise 3D models and designs of products from customer specifications.

  • Utilize SolidWorks, 3D CAD, and/or Inventor to create drawings. 

  • Generate detailed plans for customer review and fabrication.

Requirements

  • Education & Years of Experience – Associate's Degree in Drafting/Design or a related Engineering field and 4+ years of relevant experience.

  • Citizenship – To be considered, you must be a United States (U.S.) citizen due to the federal nature of the work.

  • Must have experience with SolidWorks and/or Inventor.

  • Must have experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Windows XP.

  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skill.

  • AutoCAD experience.

GEM’s offered compensation is dependent on candidates’ education, qualifications, and relevant years of experience.
