IPT Lead Specialist - NWS Sustainment

Basic Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor’s or Technology degree in Engineering or a related specialized area/field, or equivalent (4 years job-related experience). Requires an additional 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree with 3+ years of job-related experience.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable period of time.  Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

In our highly collaborative and global environment, you’ll analyze the effects of projects upon various areas such as Engineering, Facilities, and the labor pool to determine the most practical and cost-efficient methods to obtain the required resources and participate in the tactical planning for completion of identified project segment. Essentially, you’ll perform research and engineering laboratory functions involving the layout, building, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing devices, assemblies, subsystems, and systems as well as perform technical activities which impact the proposal, system level design, detail design and manufacture of advanced electronics systems.

The IPT Lead Specialist - NWS Sustainment (Adv Engr Support Spec) is responsible for leading a multifunctional team dedicated to sustaining deployed systems. This role includes managing logistics, reliability, software asset management, and fleet documentation efforts, as well as supports addressing obsolescence issues. The IPT Lead will collaborate with program leadership to analyze project impacts, develop technical solutions, monitor costs and schedules, and ensure efficient resource utilization. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring and reviewing costs, operational budgets, schedules, and manpower requirements
  • Establishing methodologies for data collection and organization for project reviews
  • Formulating and recommending corrective actions and/or process improvements
  • Conducting market research to identify emerging technologies for program enhancements
  • Supporting proposal efforts and evaluating progress against awarded work packages
  • Serving as a subject matter expert in one discipline while developing knowledge in adjacent engineering fields
  • Participating in customer negotiations and providing technical support
  • Fostering a team-centric and positive work environment

What you bring to the table:

  • A Bachelor’s of Science or Technology degree, a related specialized area or field (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
  • Subject matter expert (SME) in one discipline/field and developing working knowledge in adjacent disciplines/fields
  • Proficient understanding and application of engineering principles, concepts, practices, and standards

Salary Note

This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.

Combined Salary Range

USD $98,891.00 - USD $107,004.00 /Yr.
