Company Description

Animal Referral Hospital (ARH) is seeking an additional internal medicine specialist to join our dynamic multidisciplinary specialist practice in Brisbane, Australia.   

Our Team

At ARH our mission is to provide pets with the most comprehensive treatment available in a caring and professional environment. 

You will be working with other medicine specialists alongside specialists in critical care, surgery, oncology, neurology, diagnostic imaging, anaesthesia and dermatology who work collaboratively and closely with referring veterinarians and clients to provide the highest level of patient care.

Our internal medicine service is supported by a resident, interns and dedicated nurses. Our ECC veterinarians support the specialty services after hours and on weekends. The ECC service is intrinsically linked to our referral services, offering exceptional case transition and support. The hospital has an in-house physiotherapist and specialists in cardiology, ophthalmology, and dentistry are readily available locally.   

Our Hospital

ARH Brisbane opened in 2017 in a 1,400sqm facility. The hospital is equipped with Olympus flexible endoscopy equipment, Phillips Affinity ultrasound machines, Fuji DR suite, Siemens 64 slice CT and 1.5T MRI. We also have a new dedicated critical care unit equipped with GE ventilators, high flow oxygen therapy and point of care ultrasound.

A fully equipped on-site lab offers haematology, chemistry, blood gas, and coagulation capabilities.

Job Description

The Position

This is a full time (4-day week) position, although applicants preferring a part time role would be considered. ARH provides a generous compensation and benefits package including superannuation and paid parental leave. Leave includes 4 weeks annual leave and 1 week of conference leave.  A veterinary degree registerable in Australia with specialist qualifications (FANZCVS, DACVIM or DECVIM) is required, although candidates who have completed residency training and are intending to sit specialist exams soon are invited to apply.
