Category Executive

About Us

We’re a full-scale, energy-saving, B-Corp certified, sustainably powered vertical farm. We’re on a mission to transform the farming system forever, so that everyone can afford tasty nutritious food, that doesn’t cost the earth. Literally.

In other words: we boldly grow where no one has grown before. Our state-of-the-art salad leaves are made possible by an incredible team of rocket scientists (see what we did there?), engineers, leaf whisperers, and a root network of fabulous people, which brings us onto the role…

The Role

Are you passionate about making a real impact in the world of sustainable food? Do you get a buzz from uncovering insights and building relationships to drive category and brand success? If so, this could be the perfect role for you.

We’re on the hunt for a superstar Category Executive to join our Growth Team, reporting directly to our Category and Commercial Strategy Director. In this dynamic role, you’ll be at the heart of shaping the future — helping our customers thrive, championing our brands, and strengthening our reputation as category leaders in sustainable produce.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Digging into data to uncover game-changing insights that drive category growth.
  • Owning the data and making numbers meaningful. From creating and developing monthly reporting to maintaining monthly scorecards, ensuring everyone in the business understands our external performance.

  • Building trusted relationships with our key retail partners (Tesco’s & Sainsburys) to fuel long-term success, delivering best in class range, space and promotional recommendations.
  • Collaborating closely with the Category Director to help develop an inspiring category vision and strategy that demonstrates true category leadership, and informs our commercial strategy, brand plans and product pipeline.

What We’re Looking For:

  • An empathetic analytical mindset with ability to connect data from different sources to create simple, compelling stories (ideally within FMCG, but not essential)
  • High levels of commerciality and an eagerness to continuously improve this
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills with ability to influence and inspire
  • Highly motivated and curious, a strong team player with ability to work independently
  • Proficiency in Excel with hands on System Management experience (Nielsen, Kantar, Dunnhumby, SIP, would be ideal but not essential)

What’s in it for you?

  • Be part of a great business – you will be in one of the fastest growing and most exciting businesses in the vertical farming industry.
  • Be part of a great team – you will work with and learn from a friendly, smart, growing, and passionate team who care about each other and the business.
  • Grow yourself – a chance to develop yourself and make the role your own as the business and team builds, broadening your knowledge and capabilities to push you to the next level.
  • Share our passion for driving change for good – we’re B Corp certified and driving sustainable food production is at the heart of what we do.

Location

You’ll be based at our London office in Kings Cross with the option to work from home 2 days per week. Travel for customer meetings is required, as well as occasional travel to our Farm in Kent and our Leaf Lab in Cambridge.
