What You Will Do:
We are currently searching for a Program Analyst. This role will independently provide support services to satisfy the overall operational objectives of the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute. This is a full-time opportunity located in Bethesda, MD.
Aid in providing oversight and execution of significant management and administrative functions within the Division of Intramural Research (DIR), including analytical and evaluative work associated with intramural activities, communication, and coordination with other components of the NHLBI.
Based on DIR needs, assist in organizing meetings; consult with DIR leadership and staff; and prepare a variety of documents (e.g., such as briefing materials, memoranda, letters, analyses, and reports).
Draft and coordinate communications among staff to facilitate the efficient flow of information related to projects and program activities for the DIR.
Assist staff with meeting logistics and materials: meetings and teleconferences arrangement and support including scheduling, agendas, room reservations, audiovisual equipment, and handouts.
Lead and manage designated projects from beginning to completion, with regular check-ins and guidance from DIR leadership.
Conduct project closeout reviews to reflect on current processes and identify areas for improvement.
Establish and follow up on all assigned projects and correspondence to ensure that timely completion of tasks and/or deadlines is met.
What You Will Need:
Bachelor’s degree
A minimum of FOUR (4) years of related experience.
Experience in project management and business management preferable; background in public health or life sciences ideal.
Expertise in Microsoft 365 and SharePoint.
Expertise in web-based conference systems (MS Teams, Zoom, etc.).
Strong communications skills, both oral and written.
Excellent analytical, organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to be proactive and work independently.
What Would Be Nice To Have:
Previous experience with NIH preferred.
Comprehensive knowledge of processes and systems used throughout the NHLBI and the NIH.
