Job Description

Business Development Enablement Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Business Development Enablement Specialist to empower our Business Development Representatives (BDRs) to achieve peak performance. This role will be crucial in onboarding new hires, delivering ongoing enablement programs, identifying knowledge gaps, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the BDR team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the sales cycle, a passion for coaching and development, and a strong ability to translate strategic objectives into practical training and resources.

Key tasks:

Onboarding:

  • Culture Immersion: Introduce new BDRs to the company culture, values, expectations, and cultivate a strong "BDR mindset."
  • Team Integration: team up with Regional BD Managers to ensure seamless integration of new hires into the team dynamic and accelerate their ramp-up process.
  • Onboarding Enhancement: Continuously review, update, and improve onboarding materials to ensure effectiveness and relevance.

Enablement:

  • Regional Enablement Sessions: Organize and deliver regional group enablement sessions covering key topics such as tech stack utilisation, effective prospecting strategies, product knowledge, sales processes, and industry insights.
  • 1:1 Coaching: Provide individualised coaching during the ramp-up phase to help BDRs navigate challenges, develop their skills, and achieve early success.
  • Needs Assessment and Workshops: work with BDMs and leadership to identify knowledge gaps and areas for improvement within the BDR team. Develop and deliver ad-hoc workshops and create supporting materials to address these needs and enhance performance.

BDR Strategic Development:

  • Industry Expertise: Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape. Share this knowledge with the BDR team to ensure they are equipped to engage with prospects effectively.
  • Strategic Alignment: Engage in continuous discussions with BD leadership to understand the strategic direction of the BDR team and translate these objectives into actionable training and best practices.
  • Mentorship and Career Development: Serve as a mentor and go-to resource for BDRs, providing guidance on prospecting strategies, career growth, and overall professional development.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Proven history in a sales enablement, training, or coaching role, preferably within a B2B environment.
  • Deep knowledge of the sales cycle and BDR best practices.
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, and training skills.
  • Excellent coaching and mentoring abilities.
  • Ability to identify training needs and develop effective learning programs.
  • Strong communication and social skills.
  • Passion for developing and empowering others.
  • Knowledge of sales technology platforms (CRM, Outreach, etc.) is a plus
