The Vice President, Clinic Operations Care Division will work collaboratively with medical directors, clinical teams, and administrative staff to achieve program goals, enhance patient experience and outcomes, and drive continuous improvement. This position is responsible for leading all aspects of the Care Division (CD) operations, including physical, mobile, and virtual sites of care. Oversight responsibilities will include development of operational processes and workflows for the medical practices, staff resource planning, and the effective use of technology. The incumbent will be a key participant in the strategic planning and goal setting process for the Care Division (CD).

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Care Division's activities and overall operations to achieve program goals. Effectively implement and sustain growth strategies and expansion initiatives.
  • Establish a work environment and culture for the Care Division that prioritizes a high level of communication, collaboration, teamwork, accountability and excellence.
  • Oversee the performance of Practice Managers and other direct reports to ensure adherence to organizational standards for quality, operational efficiency, employee engagement and patient experience.
  • Work collaboratively with the Medical Directors, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Quality Officer and clinical team to develop quality and patient experience goals as well as tactics to achieve clinical quality metrics and patient care expectations. Continuously monitor performance.
  • Ensure relevant legal and regulatory compliance for all aspects of Care Division operations. Oversee performance of any 3rd party revenue cycle entities.
  • Oversee the development of an annual budget for the practice(s). Continuously monitor expenses and make operational adjustments as needed to achieve targets.
  • Maintain superior knowledge of the local healthcare environment and nurture positive relationships with care delivery partners in the community.
  • Act as primary resource for expertise related to clinic operations, medical practice management, clinical automation, regulatory compliance and health plan requirements. Foster a patient-centric culture.
  • Foster an operational environment that embraces innovation and creativity to achieve patient care goals. Spearhead the effective implementation of technology and automation within Care Division clinics.
  • Act as key liaison with both internal departments and external partners to ensure coordinated and integrated patient care. Facilitate communication and cooperation across the program to enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
  • Qualifications

    Education & Requirements 

    • Ten (10) years of experience in healthcare leadership in an ambulatory setting
      • Superior leadership experience with proven ability to exercise good judgement and interact effectively with senior management, patients, physicians and staff
      • Experience with HR management, employee relations and teambuilding
      • Experience with process improvement and strategic planning concepts
      • Prior hands-on involvement with medical group management and implementing new practices preferred
      • Experience with non-traditional clinic models such as mobile and virtual preferred
    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required
      • Master’s degree from an accredited institution preferred
      • Medical Practice leadership certification (MGMA, AMGA) preferred

     

    Key Qualifications

    • Thorough knowledge and understanding in the following:
      • Clinical regulations for medical clinic operations (CLIA, OSHA, etc.)
      • Policies and guidelines of the California Medi-Cal system
      • Medical terminology, insurance requirements, professional billing
    • Excellent written, verbal communication, meeting facilitation and presentation skills
    • Can perform at intermediate level of Word and Excel
    • Ability to analyze financial statements and develop budgets
    • Skilled in organizing work to achieve divisional goals and objectives
    • Proven ability to:
      • Assume and delegate responsibility to achieved desired results
      • Collaborate and manage change in financial, operational and business development areas
      • Analyze and interpret complex data, research and prepare comprehensive reports, and monitor quality controls standards

    Work Model Location

    This position is on a hybrid work schedule. (Mon & Fri - remote, Tues - Thurs onsite in Rancho Cucamonga, CA)

    Pay Range

    USD $246,355.20 - USD $344,905.60 /Yr.
