As a Crisis Helpline Responder, you will be responsible for providing immediate support and assistance to individuals in crisis through phone calls. Your role is crucial in offering empathetic and non-judgmental listening, crisis intervention, and both internal and external referral services.
You will work closely with a team of mental health professionals to ensure the safety and well-being of callers and provide them with appropriate resources.
This is a part time remote role with the flexibility to decide where you want to work. Local candidates who speak the local language are preferred but others can still be considered.

As a Helpline Crisis Counselor for a leading support organization in Germany, you will play a crucial role in providing immediate assistance to individuals facing crises through phone calls. Your empathetic and non-judgmental approach is essential for creating a safe space for callers struggling with issues such as bereavement from suicide, self-harm, or suicidal ideation. Collaborating closely with a dedicated team of mental health professionals, you will assess the needs of each caller and provide appropriate resources while ensuring their safety and well-being. We’re looking for someone who can demonstrate patience and understanding, as you will engage in active listening and apply evidence-based crisis intervention techniques. Moreover, your ability to maintain accurate call reports will help enhance our services. This part-time remote role offers you the flexibility to choose your workspace, making it ideal for individuals who are motivated and passionate about making a difference. Local candidates fluent in the native language will be preferred, but we encourage others to apply.
