Job Description

Hiawatha Academies is currently seeking a hard-working, passionate, and goal-oriented dean to join our team as a Dean of Special Education for the 2025-2026 school year.

Job Summary

The Dean of Special Education is responsible for supporting and advancing a powerful vision for student achievement. The Dean leads the school’s special education team and oversees student support service providers to ensure that all students, including those with IEPs and those needing additional academic or behavioral support, receive the necessary services to meet their goals. Reporting directly to the Principal, the Dean collaborates with campus leadership, all campus staff, and the network student services team, including the Director of Special Education, to create and maintain an inclusive, effective, and culturally competent learning environment.

Hiawatha Collegiate High School (HCHS) opened its doors to 104 9th grade students in 2015, and next year, it’ll serve over 600 high schoolers and close to 400 alumni.  At HCHS, all students benefit from a well-rounded program rooted in rigorous academics, comprehensive college support, and meaningful extracurricular activities.  HCHS is committed to ensuring that 100 percent of its students will graduate from high school prepared to thrive in college.

Compensation: 
Starting Pay Range: $67,000
