Position Summary:

Position Responsibilities:

  • Take statements from insureds, claimants, and witnesses Obtain and review evidence, reports, and medical records Investigate losses and identify coverage issues.
  • Negotiate settlements with claimants and claimant’s attorneys.
  • Research state laws and medical terms.
  • Attends Basic Claims training, together with any other programs of study selected for the employee's training. Travel may be required during training.
  • Must maintain a passing average in all formal courses that have been developed for the individual. An acceptable level of competencies pertaining to the position must be maintained. Formal Performance Evaluations must result in a "Meets Expectations" or higher rating.
  • State Licensing exams required to fulfill licensing requirements in the States to be handled. If State has required time period to secure license, employee must be in compliance within that stated time period.

Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 1+ years of insurance experience or 3 years equivalent professional experience required.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Proficient typing/computer skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bilingual is a plus but not required.
  • Must report to the office until fully trained and proficient. Position will then be a hybrid role, with weekly reporting to the Henderson Claims Office required .

The hourly rate for this opportunity is $25. This job is also eligible for our Kemper benefits package (Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO, 401k, etc.)
