Job Description

Link Solutions is seeking a Technical Instructor/Course Developer to join our team in support of the US Army's Combined Arms Center at Fort Leavenworth, KS.

  • Must be a US Citizen  
  • Requires a Secret Clearance 
  • Non-remote (relocation incentive available) 

As a Technical Instructor/Course Developer, you will design, develop, and deliver training in support of Combined Arms Center personnel and system users. You will ensure that all Combined Arms Center personnel and system users can effectively operate, manage, and benefit from the evolving suite of web-based applications.

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and maintain instructional content, including instructor-led and computer-based training (CBT) materials, quick reference guides, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Conduct needs assessments, analyze user roles, and identify skill gaps to inform training content and structure.
  • Track training effectiveness through post-training evaluations, feedback analysis, and learning assessments.
  • Ensure all instructional materials comply with accessibility (Section 508) and Army instructional design standards.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and support teams to remain current on system changes and enhancements.
  • Organize and facilitate live training sessions, webinars, and workshops for system administrators, content managers, and end users.
  • Deliver technical training on topics such as SharePoint administration, web portal management, user access procedures, and new application features.

Qualifications

  • Must be a US Citizen. 
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
  • Five (5+) years in training development and delivery within a technical or DoD environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT Service Management, or other IT-related fields. 
  • IAT Level II Certification (CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA Security Training, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC) equivalent or higher.
  • Must possess DoD 8140.03 / DoD 8570.1M CE Microsoft Certified Professional
  • Experience with instructional systems design models (e.g., ADDIE) and adult learning principles
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, and learning management systems (LMS)
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and facilitation skills

Preferred:  

  • Active Secret Clearance. 
  • Master’s degree or certification in instructional design or technical training (e.g., CompTIA CTT+)
  • Experience with video editing, e-learning development tools (e.g., Articulate, Captivate), or SCORM-compliant content
  • Familiarity with DoD training systems and federal IT systems.
  • Certifications such as AWS Certified Developer, Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate, or Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP)
  • Experience DoD software sustainment and modernization efforts
  • Experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment. 
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills. 
  • Superior organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks. 
  • Problem solver and troubleshooter who thrives in resolving complex problems.
  • Strong self-starter requiring minimal supervision.

Additional Information

This position is contingent upon the successful acquisition of the government contract and the completion of ongoing negotiations. We anticipate these processes will be completed within the next several weeks, at which time interviews and offers will be extended upon successful contract award.
