Sr. Fullstack Engineer (Must be in Seattle/Greater Seattle Area)

About Logixboard:

Logixboard is a white-labeled customer experience software that is transforming how the $2 trillion freight forwarding industry operates. In a highly competitive and technologically antiquated industry undergoing rapid digitalization, we are providing freight forwarders with the only white-labeled and integrated customer experience software available to the market today. Our software enables freight forwarders to deliver world-class digital experience to their customers, which propels them far ahead of their competition and dramatically increases customer retention and sales. Our customers absolutely love our platform, and we're experiencing tremendous growth both in new customers and in funding, with over $50 million in capital raised to date.

About You:

You are a Sr. Full Stack Engineer excited about joining a fast-paced, and dynamic, startup environment. You are willing to help build a feature end-to-end, bring innovative ideas to the table, and feel comfortable taking on a leadership role for builds. You enjoy getting to go heads down on larger projects and deliver exceptional experiences to customers within a deadline, but are also willing to step back and assess how can we continually improve our efficiency both operationally and in the product.

You are at your best when you’re able to work autonomously and feel empowered to own decisions in order to keep projects on track. You are able to effectively communicate in multiple formats, both synchronously and asynchronously, and don’t shy away from collaboration opportunities in order to learn from others, along with passing your knowledge on to them. You are interested in solving hard problems, moving quickly, and being part of a rapidly growing company.

Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

You will:
  • Take ownership of projects that will span across our full set of systems from data acquisition to the end user experience, or impact only a specific aspect of our systems
  • Develop system integrations across multiple technologies and providers to provide customers with a near real-time tracking and information
  • Model and normalize incoming data into our system across all sources to provide a consistent user experience across data providers
  • Work closely with our Product and Design teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and performant user experiences
  • Help drive best practices around both Frontend and Backend development within the team
  • Be a mentor for other engineers on the team

We're looking for:
  • 3-5+ years of real-world experience with software engineering best practices
  • An emphatic, collaborative, and consultative work style
  • A healthy mindset towards stepping outside of your comfort zone by seeking out opportunities to continuously develop your skillset and being able to learn from experiences that don’t end as expected
  • The understanding that simple solutions are the best solutions
  • An acute attention to detail with an understanding for the importance of quality and finish on the end user experience
  • Experience building large, modular applications with all the usual technologies associated with an ecosystem around testing, packaging, and deployment
  • Experience working with 3rd party data providers and normalizing that data into a larger system
  • Experience in common technologies we work with throughout our stack including React, Material UI, StorybookJS, TypeScript, GraphQL, Node.js, Temporal, Postgres, Dynamo, and AWS would be a plus, but not required
  • It’s an added bonus if you also have experience working in common DevOps technologies and aren’t afraid to poke around in the infrastructure
  • Curiosity around programming languages and services where you have enough insight across the programming landscape to step into unfamiliar code and make sense of what is going on

  • The salary range for this role is $157,400 - $180,000, plus equity. Where your pay would fall within that range will be based on 1) relevant experience, knowledge, and skills, as demonstrated through the interview process, 2) by considering parity with current LXB team members, and 3) current market data

Benefits:
  • We are a remote first company, meaning, you can work from home, from the mountains, from the beach, or wherever you feel like getting work done.
  • Logixboard covers 100% of premiums for Medical, Dental, and Vision for you, with 75% of premiums covered for your loved ones. We’ll also offer paid life insurance and Long Term Disability.
  • 12 weeks parental paid time plus a $2,500 parental bonus to support you and your family.
  • Our 401(k) plan makes it easy to save for retirement and you can contribute your tax free dollars from day 1.
  • In addition to statutory and Federal holidays, we offer our teammates Flexible Time Off (average is 4-5 weeks) that can also be used to observe holidays that are important to you.
  • A yearly Learning and Development budget of $500 to find your own way to continue your professional development.
  • To get your office set up, you will receive the basics (laptop, monitor, keyboard and a mouse), plus a one time WFH budget of $1,000 for you to get the other things you need in order to do your best work.

At Logixboard, we believe that people come first and we are committed to building teams that represent a variety of backgrounds, perspectives and skills. We highly encourage under-represented and traditionally marginalized communities to apply. Together, we will create and maintain working and learning environments that are inclusive, equitable and welcoming.
