Computer, Network, & AV/VTC Field Service Technician

Position Summary

MAG Aerospace is seeking a skilled Computer, Network, & AV/VTC Field Service Technician to provide support to a high-visibility Naval Air Warfare Center project supporting the Air Force Special Operations Command in the Ft. Walton Beach, FL region.This role focuses on the implementation, sustainment, and maintenance of computer systems, networks, audio/visual, and video teleconferencing systems across multiple DoD sites.

*This is a Field Service position. You will work on various sites as needed almost daily within the Ft. Walton Beach/Destin, FL region.***Active DoD Secret Clearance is required.**

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with a team of engineers and other technical professionals to design and integrate hardware, software, AV/VTC, and netowrking components to create a functional and secure system
  • Identify system issues and troubleshoot them to find solutions, update or fix operating systems and applications
  • Evaluate and integrate new technologies into existing systems
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications
  • Oversee and perform the implementation of system architectures
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system performance issues
  • Coordinate the repair or replacement of malfunctioning equipment
  • Perform integration, installation, and verification testing of new equipment
  • Update changes to system documentation and drawings
  • Ensure system security and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation
  • Train and mentor junior technical staff
  • Manage system lifecycle from conception to deployment, maintenance, and disposal
  • Additional duties may apply

Requirements

Experience

  • 3-10 years of recent and relevant experience within DoD organizations in computer network and AV/VTC system architecture design, development, integration, test, fielding, operation, and maintenance
  • Strong project management and commuication skills required

 Education 

  • Bachelor Degree in STEM major is preferred
  • Associate Degree is acceptable with an additional 4 years of experience (bringing the above to at least 7 years of experience)
  • No Degree: Additional 6 years of experience (bringing the above to at least 9 years of experience)

Clearance

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must possess an active DoD Secret clearance

Salary at MAG Aerospace is determined by various factors including but not limited to location, the particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $90000 to $125000 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAG's total compensation package for employees.
