Description

Markon is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team as part of the Propulsion Plant Team Trainer (PPTT) project, which is a multi-site organization engaged in the design, production, testing, and delivery of advanced training simulators.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineers across multiple locations
  • Review and disposition Supplier design submittals to validate designs based on technical requirements
  • Interface with stakeholders to ensure project objectives are satisfied

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum of 3-9 years of work experience as a Mechanical Engineer
  • Must have active DOE 'L' clearance to be considered

Desired Skills:

  • Prior experience with SolidWorks or equivalent 3D modeling software
  • Prior experience supporting design reviews and technical interchanges with Suppliers
  • Ability to review, understand, and apply relevant engineering codes and standards (e.g. ASME)
  • Prior experience with Design for Manufacturability
  • Prior experience with Model Based Design
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to think creatively and make recommendations to senior project personnel
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products

Salary Range

USD $137,000.00 - USD $145,000.00 /Yr.The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
