Job Description

About the Role: We are seeking a visionary and results-driven solutions leader for our Data Practice to lead the expansion of our data capabilities across Data Architecture, Master Data Management (MDM), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and Product Information Management (PIM) to drive and increase company revenue. This role requires a seasoned professional with 20+ years of experience in digital transformation, including 10+ years focused on enterprise data strategy, governance, and architecture. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building and scaling data management and analytics practices, along with deep expertise in enterprise data ecosystems, including MDM, CRM, PIM, data lakes, cloud platforms, and data governance frameworks.

This is a strategic, end-to-end leadership role that encompasses building capabilities, developing innovative solutions, creating go-to-market (GTM) propositions, fostering people development, enabling sales, and supporting delivery excellence. The Data Practice Lead will also bring executive consulting experience to the table, acting as a trusted advisor to clients and internal stakeholders.

  1. Directly help drive revenue in pre-sales activities by providing technical and consulting expertise, solution demonstrations, and proposal development.
  2. Design and architect end-to-end data solutions leveraging best-in-class MDM, CRM, PIM, and data architecture technologies to address complex client needs.
  3. Define and execute GTM strategies for data-centric solutions, focusing on Data Architecture, MDM, CRM, and PIM.
  4. Build and mentor a high-performing team of data experts, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
  5. Expand and deepen the organization’s data management, analytics, and governance capabilities.

 

Additional Responsibilities

Sales Enablement and Practice Growth:

  • Support pre-sales activities by providing technical and consulting expertise, solution demonstrations, and proposal development.
  • Drive deals for data solutions to enable organic and inorganic growth.
  • Identify new business opportunities, expand existing client relationships, and deliver innovative solutions that align with market demands.
  • Equip sales teams with the tools, templates, and training needed to effectively sell data-driven solutions.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their business challenges and proposing tailored data solutions.

Solution Development:

  • Design and architect end-to-end solutions leveraging MDM, CRM, PIM, and data technology platforms.
  • Create innovative, differentiated offerings that align with market trends and client demands.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop integrated data solutions that drive business outcomes.

Go-to-Market (GTM) Propositions:

  • Define and execute GTM strategies for data-driven solutions, focusing on Data Architecture, MDM, CRM, and PIM.
  • Identify market opportunities, develop prototypes and value propositions, and position the organization as a leader in data-centric transformations.
  • Partner with sales and marketing teams to drive demand generation and pipeline growth.

Capability Building:

  • Expand and deepen the organization’s expertise across data related topics, MDM, CRM, PIM, and cloud-based architectures.
  • Develop and implement a strategic roadmap for building technical and functional expertise within McFadyen Digital.
  • Establish best practices, frameworks, and accelerators to enhance delivery efficiency and quality.
  • Stay ahead of the curve by integrating AI-driven data capabilities into solutions to deliver cutting-edge, future-ready experiences for clients.

People Development:

  • Build and mentor a high-performing team of data experts, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
  • Define career paths, competency frameworks, and training programs to upskill the team.
  • Encourage knowledge sharing and collaboration across the practice.

Delivery Enablement and Support:

  • Ensure successful delivery of data projects by providing oversight, guidance, and escalation management.
  • Work closely with delivery teams to ensure alignment with client expectations and business goals.
  • Drive continuous improvement in delivery processes and methodologies.

Strategic and Executive Consulting:

  • Provide strategic consulting to C-level executives, helping them define their data transformation roadmaps.
  • Advise clients on leveraging data technologies to achieve their business objectives, including data quality, customer experience optimization, and operational efficiency.
  • Build long-term relationships with key stakeholders, positioning the organization as a trusted partner.

Thought Leadership:

  • Represent the organization as a thought leader in data management and architecture through blogs, whitepapers, webinars, and industry events.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in MDM, CRM, PIM, and data governance, and incorporate them into the practice’s offerings.
  • Drive innovation by exploring new use cases and technologies within the data management ecosystem.

Qualifications

Top 5 Qualifications:

  1. 20+ years of experience in digital transformation, with a focus on data architecture, governance, and management.
  2. 15+ years of hands-on experience with MDM, CRM, PIM, data lakes, cloud platforms, and enterprise data strategies.
  3. Experience with PIM platforms such as Stibo and/or Akeneo is highly preferred.
  4. Proven track record of building and scaling data management practices in a consulting or technology services environment.
  5. Strong expertise in solution architecture, GTM strategy, and pre-sales activities.
