The Material Handler III is responsible for handling, storing, and distributing materials, tools, equipment, and products within Medtronic’s supply chain. This role requires attention to detail, accuracy, and compliance with all company policies and regulatory guidelines. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, adaptability, and a commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and shipments against purchase orders.
Accurately pick, pack, and stage materials for production and customer shipments.
Maintain inventory records through data entry into inventory management systems (e.g., SAP).
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
Ensure proper labeling, storage, and handling of materials in compliance with safety and quality standards.
Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with inventory reconciliation.
Collaborate with production, quality, and warehouse teams to ensure timely material availability.
Identify and escalate material shortages or discrepancies.
Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Must Have: Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent AND minimum of 4 years related experience
Nice to Have:
Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS) or enterprise resource planning (ERP) software (e.g., SAP).
Ability to operate material handling equipment (certification preferred but not required).
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Basic computer proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Previous experience in a medical device, pharmaceutical, or regulated manufacturing environment.
Forklift certification.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
