Your Role:

  • Develop and implement social service programs tailored to the needs of our senior residents.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure comprehensive care and support for residents.
  • Manage and mentor a team of social workers and support staff.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness and make data-driven recommendations for improvements.
  • Advocate for residents' needs and rights, ensuring access to necessary resources and services.
  • Oversee budgeting and resource allocation for social service programs.
  • Facilitate educational workshops and support groups for residents and their families.
  • Manages Social Services Department's performance improvement activities in accordance with NLCS standards and other regulatory agency requirements.
  • Ensures compliance as required.
  • Takes lead in developing Social Services department budgets
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work required, Master’s degree in Social Work preferred
  • Licensed Social Worker by the state of assignment (Maryland or Virginia), LCSW-C preferred
  • Five to ten years’ experience, preferably in a long-term care or senior health care environment
  • Visibility requires maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image
  • Must possess strong written and oral communication skills and ability to maintain confidentiality of information
  • Computer electronic medical record experience is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
