Outpatient Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

Overview

NovaCare is seeking an outpatient Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in Westernport MD

 

Our outpatient center in Westernport MD is seeking a per diem (PRN) licensed COTA to provide quality patient care. We take pride in creating an exceptional patient experience, helping our patients get back to athletics, work, life, and the things they love. We have a large clinical OP ortho team treating ortho, neuro, vestibular, oncology (ReVital), lymphedema, pediatrics, and industrial injuries at this aquatics center. Some coverage at our Kensington ALF in Cumberland may be needed, but most coverage will be in Westernport.

 

An ideal COTA has previous outpatient experience and enjoys a diverse caseload. Some evenings until 630pm will be needed, no weekends.

 

 

Schedule: Weekdays treating until 630pm 1-2x/week. 

Compensation: starting at $25/hr.

 

We are able to offer access to our local and in-person CEU accrediting courses for all our clinicians, regardless of PRN or part-time schedules. Full-time hours may be available as a split schedule between adjacent centers.

Responsibilities

  • Under the direction of the licensed occupational therapist, optimize the functional abilities and skills of patients.
  • Teach clients new ways of approaching tasks and educate them on how to break down activities into achievable components
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality patient care services.
  • Observe, note, and report on the progress of long and short-term treatment goals
  • Ensure proper documentation of patient care.
  • Maintain professional standards through compliance with quality assurance policies/ procedures as well as applicable regulations and corporate policies

Qualifications

  • Must be a graduate of an ACOTA accredited occupational therapy assistant (OTA) program
  • National registration and state COTA licensure or registration REQUIRED
  • Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
  • Valid state driver’s license
