Established in 2010, the Energy Research Institute @ NTU (ERI@N) is a pan-university research institute that focuses on systems-level research for tropical megacities. It performs translational research that covers the energy value chain from generation to innovative end-use solutions, motivated by industrialisation and deployment.
We are seeking a highly analytical Research Fellow to conduct cutting-edge research on Singapore energy market. The role involves data-driven market analysis, policy evaluation, economic modelling, and stakeholder engagement to inform strategic decision-making for academia, industry, and policymakers.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct quantitative research on energy market, pricing, and regulatory impacts.
Develop energy market models (supply-demand, price volatility, competition).
Publish reports, policy briefs, and peer-reviewed papers.
Present findings to industry leaders, governments, and at conferences.
Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams on funded research projects.
Job Requirements:
PhD in Electricity Market, Power Systems, or related field.
3+ years of experience in energy market research (academia, consultancy, or think tanks).
Strong analytical and programming skills: Python/MATLAB.
Communication: Excellent writing and presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred: Knowledge of electricity markets, renewable energy policies.
