Our role:
The Junior Software Engineer is responsible for building and configuring new development and testing environments set by the IT and Infrastructure teams. New environments will be required for all RegWorks customers. This role will perform tasks under the guidance and supervision of Senior Software Engineer
This role reports to the Service Delivery Manager and does not have people management responsibilities.

At Objective, we're looking for a passionate Junior Software Engineer to join our dynamic Wollongong team! Our mission is to develop software that has a real impact, especially for government clients. As a Junior Software Engineer, you'll play a key role in building and configuring new development and testing environments tailored for our RegWorks customers. You'll work closely under the mentorship of a Senior Software Engineer, gaining valuable skills along the way. Your day-to-day tasks will include creating new Windows-based environments set up by our stellar IT and Infrastructure teams and migrating configurations and data from existing legacy systems. You'll be actively tracking and reporting your progress while collaborating with a vibrant team of professionals. We're excited to welcome someone who has a solid understanding of XML, SQL, and Java, and familiarity with tomcat. If you have experience with SQL Server, git, IntelliJ, or Maven, that's a huge plus! We're equally interested in your communication skills and your ability to work seamlessly with others.
