Serving as a cornerstone of northern Atlanta’s newest mixed-used community, the Omni Hotel at The Battery Atlanta is the official  hotel of the Atlanta Braves and located within steps of SunTrust Park as well as premier office space, the Coca-Cola Roxy music venue and a variety of shopping and dining.

 

Our luxury hotel features 16 floors with 264 rooms including 28 suites, over 20,000 square feet of meeting space and can accommodate business travelers, families on vacation and everyone in-between. Redefining "live, work, play," we are a proud "play, work, stay" destination and seek to provide an unforgettable experience enhanced by our hotel's elevated pool deck in addition to our Lobby Bar and hotel restaurant.

Job Description

To ensure proper training and supervision of all associates, to deliver prompt, courteous service in a manner that complies with Omni Food and Beverage standards and company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Have full knowledge of all menus and beverage menus
  • Have full knowledge of responsible alcohol service
  • Proper setup and breakdown of area and service station
  • Provide the highest quality guest interactions - be pleasant, friendly and polite to everyone
  • Multi-task several guests and duties at once, maintaining the highest levels of service
  • Take food and beverage orders from guests
  • Enter in orders to the computer ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Manage walk-up and seated guests appropriately
  • Prepare beverages for servers from printed tickets
  • Follow service standards and best practices at all times
  • Demonstrate excellent teamwork with internal associates
  • Responsible for assigned shift, assisting in overall management
  • Demonstrate excellent teamwork with associates
  • Must have excellent math skills
  • Demonstrate full working knowledge of POS system
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Be pleasant, smile, and greet all guests, using guest names when obtained
  • Assist in overall supervision of the department
  • Check staff punctuality
  • Must have sense of urgency throughout entire shift
  • Handle guest comments and complaints
  • Stay on the floor during operating hours
  • Communicate with guests and receive feedback
  • Observe, teach, and correct associates' service
  • Assist manager with schedule, forecast, payroll, email, Kronos,  Medallia, MOS
  • Perform any other duties assigned by Management/Chef
  • Complete daily requisitons from purchasing
  • Complete monthly beverage inventory
  • Assist in scheduling as needed
  • Coordinate to ensure compliance in all property and corporate food and beverage initiatives 

Qualifications

  • Previous Supervisor experience highly preferred
  • Must have bartending experience
  • Must be knowledgeable of wines, beer and liquor
  • Must have state issued Manager/Supervisor's Food Handler's Certification
  • Able to stand for extended periods of time
  • Able to work long hours/shifts
  • Able to lift and carry 20 pounds routinely, and up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Able to walk, sit, stand, squat, reach, and lean in the course of daily business
  • Able to carry and balance oval and cocktail trays
  • Able to push purchasing carts for a distance.
  • Must have TIPS certification.
  • Must have ServSafe Food Handlers Certification
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends and holidays.
