This is a position with WM Technologies, LLC and affiliate of SPX Enterprises, LLC, which manufactures and sells Weil-McLain branded products. Weil-McLain® is a leading North American brand of hydronic comfort heating systems for residential, commercial, and institutional buildings since 1881. 

 

How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)
SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As the Regional Sales Manager, you will play a crucial role in achieving revenue and operating profit growth targets in the Central Region.  Acting as a Regional Business Leader, you are responsible for delivering sales, marketing, and building and strengthening your manufacturing representative network.   The successful Regional Sales Manager has a passion for driving sales growth and exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
 
What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)
While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:
•    Sales Leadership 
•    Assist in the recruitment, coaching and development of Territory Sales Managers
•    Measure actual performance and create accountability for manufacturer’s reps in accordance with approved sales goals and plans. 
•    Develop Regional growth strategy. 
•    Proactively seek out and engage with new customers, contractors, and distributors within territory to expand our market presence and increase sales
•    Travel as often as necessary to accomplish established goals and provide contact between the field (contractors, distributors, agents, etc.) and management.
•    Monitor administration of company policies; make recommendations about exceptions for individual orders based on market conditions.
•    Monitor administration of sales incentive program and evaluate results.
•    Conduct regular meetings to capture information such as forecasts, competitive intelligence and market conditions from the field and communicate that information to the leadership team.
•    Make recommendations regarding sales initiatives, distribution policies, and promotional programs.
•    Assist in new product rollouts by partnering with internal and external stakeholders.
•    Monitor sales and promotional activities at specified “regional” and national accounts.
•    Keep abreast of Region markets, general economic conditions in these markets and competitive activities.
•    Establish business relationships with National Accounts, key distributor principals, specifiers and high-profile end users.
•    Develop and execute a written annual growth plan with the sales team, distributors, and rep agencies. Evaluate, assess and modify performance and recommend specific activities that ensure achievement of annual and quarterly targets throughout the territory.   
•    Communicate the growth plans to all stakeholders and gain commitment

What we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education)
We each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has:
Required Experience
•    5+ years of sales, sales management experience of a complex product in wholesale distribution channels
•    Previous experience directly managing agents and sales reps, including contract negotiations
•    Experience with channel management
•    Proficiency with CRM, strategic selling tools
•    Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth
Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
•    Experience or demonstrated knowledge of hydronic heating industry preferred
•    Affiliations with PHCC, AHRI, and/or ASHRAE a plus
•    Proactive and results oriented approach with a strong sense of accountability and ownership
•    Strategic thinker with prior experience developing and implementing effective sales strategies
•    Exceptional negotiation and persuasive skills to close deals and secure new business opportunities
•    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships at all levels of the organization and work cross functionally
Education & Certifications
•    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
•    Driver’s license and proof of insurance required
Travel & Working Environment
•    Frequent travel to meet with customers, attend industry events, and visit company locations – at least 50% of time


We recognize that attracting the best talent is key to our strategy and success as a company. As a result, we aim for flexibility in structuring competitive compensation offers to ensure we are able to attract the best candidates. As required by law in this state, the estimated salary range for this position is $125,000-181,425 and represents our good faith estimate as to what our ideal candidates are likely to expect.   We tailor our offers within the range based on organizational needs, internal equity, market data, geographic zone, and the selected candidate’s experience, education, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the selection process.  At SPX, it is not common for individuals to be hired at the higher end of the range, and compensation decisions depend on a variety of factors.  This position is eligible to participate in a discretionary bonus, subject to the rules governing the plan.  SPX offers a variety of benefits, including health benefits, 401K retirement with a company match, and flexible time off.   More information about our benefits can be found on the “Rewards and Benefits” section of our career page.
