We also help merchants connect with their customers, process exchanges and returns, and manage risk. We enable consumers to engage in cross-border shopping and merchants to extend their global reach while reducing the complexity and friction involved in enabling cross-border trade.

Job Description Summary:

As a Mobile Engineering Manager on the Mobile Infra & Tools team, you will lead team of engineers that support iOS Mobile SDLC and developer productivity tooling for 40+ domain teams that contribute to the PayPal’s Consumer Mobile application. In this role, you will be responsible for modernizing the iOS Mobile SDLC and iOS Mobile infrastructure and build tooling to greatly enhance developer productivity. This will be accomplished through technical leadership, managing deliverables, and collaborating across teams and functions. You will use your leadership experience to foster the growth of your team members, improve operations, and cultivate a culture of engineering excellence and consistency across all stages of iOS Mobile SDLC from code check-in to releasing App to Apple App Store.

Job Description:

Your day-to-day

  • Lead and mentor team of Mobile DevOps engineers.
  • Understand mobile developer needs and propose solutions to address them.
  • Familiarity with iOS build tools – Xcode, SPM, Fastlane, Cocoapods, Swiftlint, XCUI Test Framework.
  • Measure and monitor the SDLC processes to identify bottlenecks.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Plan, execute, and deliver on time and within budget.
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate with senior mobile engineers on mobile platform and feature development teams.

What do you need to bring

  • At least 7+ years of experience in software development or related field with at least 2 years of experience managing a Mobile Team.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience in software development, with a focus on iOS Mobile DevOps.
  • Previous experience in a leadership or management role.
  • Strong understanding of tool chain for iOS Mobile SDLC and cloud-based infrastructure for iOS CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and mobile app development & release processes.
