Technical Network Engineer

Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Technical Network Engineer to support the Information Technology Services Desk and Engineering services Contract at U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.  Peraton is providing maintenance and operational IT support that includes contractor support services for the systems, equipment, hardware, and software. The Network and Computer Systems Admin analyzes, tests, troubleshoots, and evaluates network devices and provides technical support for the agency’s devices, troubleshooting, monitoring, and assists managing the enterprise mobile device infrastructure.

 

This position is located onsite at OIG headquarters in Washington, DC. Telework may be possible, but at the discretion of the customer.

 

What you'll do:

  • Maintain operations of multi-user computer systems, networks, routers, switches virtual computer systems, and perform basic system administration tasks within the scope of the contract.
  • Monitor and correct system issues
  • Perform system or component restarts
  • Assist engineering and contractor teams to resolve system issues
  • Meticulously records problem statements and creates appropriate reports
  • Preventative maintenance and system checks
  • Enterprise Network and Routing Support

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5 years of relevant experience with High School diploma
  • Customer Service Experience
  • Knowledge of enterprise-Wide Area Networks (WAN)
  • US Citizenship Required
  • Reside within 50 miles of Washington DC Office
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
  • Knowledge and experience with: 
    • Azure Active Directory
    • Conditional Access
    • ADFS
    • Microsoft Group Policy
    • Microsoft Mobile Productivity Apps,
    • Technical knowledge of the following mobile and messaging technologies: Office 365, Microsoft Intune

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or higher

Target Salary Range

$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
