We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Director of International Accounting for a newly created role reporting to the VP, Global Controller. This pivotal role requires an individual with extensive experience in international accounting, financial reporting, compliance, and team leadership. The Director of International Accounting will oversee the accounting functions across multiple subsidiaries, ensuring accurate multi-currency financial reporting, adherence to global regulations, and the alignment of accounting practices with corporate goals.


As an integral part of the finance leadership team, the Director of International Accounting will work closely with the VP, Global Controller to lead statutory audits, shape financial strategy, optimize processes, and ensure compliance across diverse jurisdictions.

Your new adventure:
  • Review and consolidate multi-currency financial statements and reports, ensuring alignment with IFRS, GAAP, and local statutory requirements
  • Provide guidance and training on international accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls to staff at all levels
  • Ensure compliance with international financial reporting standards, tax laws, and industry regulations
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies to ensure proper audits, tax filings, and financial disclosures
  • Manage accounting teams across multiple international locations to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance with local and global accounting standards
  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes across all international subsidiaries
  • Oversee the preparation and delivery of financial statements and reports for all international subsidiaries and branches
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and implement global financial strategies that support the company's growth and objectives
  • Drive the adoption of best practices, process improvements, and automation to streamline accounting operations and improve efficiency
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing global accounting team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture
  • Evaluate team performance and provide regular feedback to support professional growth and development
  • Ensure the integration and implementation of accounting systems and processes across international offices, ensuring seamless reporting and data accuracy
  • Continuously evaluate existing processes and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness


Does this look like you?
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, CA, or equivalent certification required)
  • 10+ years of experience in accounting, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing international accounting operations
  • In-depth knowledge of international accounting standards (IFRS, US GAAP, local regulatory requirements)
  • Strong experience with cross-border transactions, multi-currency accounting, and tax compliance
  • Proven ability to manage and lead diverse, global teams in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence at the executive level
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across cultures and geographies
  • Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems (Netsuite, Coupa, Zuora preferred)
  • Fluency in English
