Director of Partnerships

Who is Rainforest?

Rainforest is an early stage payments-as-a-service startup that has developed a solution that makes monetizing payments for vertically focused software platforms fair and simple.

We focus on small-to-mid sized platforms that want to add value to their small business customers through embedded payments — and want to do so without adding operational or regulatory burdens or costs.

Led by a successful repeat fintech founder with deep knowledge of the industry, and with venture backing from a Top 10 VC firm, Rainforest is well positioned to make an impact in the payments-as-a-service space, and we're looking for new team members who want to be a part of this journey!

Who are we looking for?

Rainforest is looking for its next Partner Director to join our Revenue team and drive net new partner and platform referral growth for the organization. You should be well-versed in payments and someone who will thrive in a startup environment, contributing to all facets of the organization. As Partner Director, you will be responsible for sourcing and driving strategic partnerships, helping the next cohort for Vertical SaaS platforms take advantage of Rainforest’s PayFac-as-a-service offering through those referral and portfolio relationships.

What are the expectations and areas of focus for the role?

  • Own the full partner cycle across technology, bank, Private Equity, Venture Capital, Payments Consultants, and other partnerships - from prospect to agreement

  • Educate and pitch Rainforest’s solution to partners with a consultative approach to help drive platform referrals to the sales team

  • Build and maintain key relationships with C-level executives, while orchestrating all executive touch points needed to drive partnerships forward

  • Prospect and outbound new target partners based on their ownership/influence of platforms in our ICP across email, phone calls, live meetings and LinkedIn

  • Work with company leaders from multiple functions (e.g., Engineering, Product, Sales, CS, and Finance) to put together business plans

  • Engage with Product and Engineering teams to help drive product strategy

  • Represent Rainforest at conferences, industry networking events, and corporate engagements

  • Continually update and manage Hubspot pipelines for tracking and forecasting partner and partner-led deal progress

This opportunity is for you if you have/are:

  • Proven experience in a consultant, analyst, or partnerships role (5+ years) managing/evaluating complex solutions

  • Payments, PE, or VC industry experience is a must

  • A strong track record of driving referrals to sales or business development teams

  • A team player who enjoys working with multiple stakeholders internally at Rainforest

  • You are an analytical, strategic negotiator

  • You have the ability to execute in a fast-paced, highly entrepreneurial startup

We offer a comprehensive health benefits package, unlimited paid time off, paid parental leave, a fun and flexible working environment, and continuously invest in our people and our culture.

If you require any accommodations throughout the pre-employment process, please contact our HR team at hr@rainforestpay.com
