We are seeking an Enterprise Architect to partner with our engineering Global Business Area (Business Domain), focusing on aligning technology roadmap and strategies with business goals, to drive growth and operational excellence. What you will do

You will join Technology Architecture in Ramboll Tech. You will be working closely with a specific Global Business Area/business domain. You will partner with Innovation and Digital Transformation Directors—who drive digitalisation, innovation, and scaling of digital solutions & products across their respective business domain. The Global Business Area (GBA) that you will be focusing on is Ramboll Energy. 
 Your focus will be on delivering value by shaping strategies, roadmaps, and solutions that directly address the challenges and opportunities of our business functions. Rather than concentrating on governance, your role will prioritize alignment between Global Business Area and global technology direction, fostering collaboration to deliver the best technology for the business. 

Where you will make an impact: 

  • Technology Roadmaps: Build technology roadmaps based on business goals for Energy. Develop a line-of-sight linkage between mission-critical business outcomes, future state business capabilities, data, value streams, business processes, projects, products, and technologies the organization will need to invest in to ensure competitive advantage and time-to-market 
  • Optimizing Business Operations: Be a part of shaping how we deliver tech-enabled consultancy services to enhance how we work in the Global Business Area. 
  • Adding Value and Differentiation: Help the business find added value and ways to differentiate in the market, with smart and future-proof technology decisions 
  • Innovative Technology Assessment: Annalyse and help business leaders understand, apply, monetize and operationalize existing, new, and emerging technologies, such as GenAI, to overcome hype and meaningfully transform and optimize business and operating models. 

Key responsibilities: 

  • Partner with our Global Business Area to understand business objectives and align business & technology strategies accordingly. Identify and guide capabilities, data, people, processes and technology requirements to take our business operating models to next level results. 
  • Collaborate with business leaders, project and product teams to define target state architectures that drive value. Co-develop roadmaps and initiatives with business stakeholders to enable growth and improve operational effectiveness. 
  • Facilitate technology portfolio assessments, ensuring global solutions meet Global Business Area’s specific needs. Especially in relation to data, data structures, security to extract and create business value. 
  • Provide thought leadership on tech trends and disruptions and their potential application to market priorities 
  • Actively engage with technology providers to explore innovative solutions and evaluate their alignment with business goals 
  • Support business digital leaders in identifying and addressing technology risks and debt.  
  • Coach and mentor other architects, product teams and business stakeholders to instil architectural thinking, with focus on business, data/information and solution architecture. 
  • Effectively provide guiding principles, standard and minimal viable architectures, technology governance model informed by business strategy and corporate governance.  

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 

Experience:  

  • 5+ years of professional experience in enterprise architecture. Core experience in enterprise architecture layers: business, information, and applications.   
  • Demonstrated success in partnering with business leaders to co-create technology strategies & roadmaps in global organization 
  • Experience working with different delivery models, and being part of agile delivery 
  • Proven Enterprise Architect track record in large and complex global companies. Experience in Consultancy / Professional Services is preferred. 

Skills: 

  • Mastery of all components of enterprise architecture, especially Business, Applications and Data architecture. Knowledge of EA methods and tools to develop business architecture deliverables, related graphical models, and frameworks  
  • Knowledge of business ecosystems, SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, SOA, APIs, open data, microservices, event-driven IT and predictive analytics  
  • Passion for data and experience in shaping data architecture, semantic technologies. 
  • Awareness and interest in existing, new and emerging technologies. Ability to assess the value and risk of technologies against new business designs and business 
  • Effective in operating in project-centric and product-centric model 
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to navigate and influence within a matrixed organization  
  • The ability to explain complex IT concepts in business-friendly terms
