Job Summary:  

Assists with recruiting at the organization’s various sites- including sourcing, interviewing, and with the hiring process of new employees. The Recruiter will research, develop, and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization. Also, ensure the new employees are compliant with the requirements including Health & Safety Title 22, Title 5, Head Start, California State Preschool, Quality Preschool Initiative and Children’s Paradise Operating Guidelines.  

  •  Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization. 
  •  Responsible for job posting and advertisement processes. Attends and participates in college job fairs and recruiting events. 
  •  Responsible for maintaining the Bi-Weekly Organizational Charts, position job descriptions along with salary records.  
  •  Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending the companies established salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details. 
  •  Prepare new hire offer letter paperwork and onboarding package ensuring legislation requirements are met. 
  •  Support the onboarding process for all new hires. 

Requirements

  •  Knowledge of California Preschool Employee requirements-preferred
  •  2-3 years of Recruitment experience
  •  Bachelor’s Degree; preferably in Human Resources or equivalent field
  •  SHRM-CP PHR or SHRM-SCP preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work at various locations, as needed.
  • Ability to walk, sit, and stand for extended periods to support community engagement events both inside and outside a building.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds to support with movement of materials and supplies.
  • Ability to bend and squat in order to interact with children at community engagement and center events.
  • Ability to see to work on computer equipment or work with an appropriate accommodation
